Visiting Iran as a kid I remember them being like this Fresh baked barbari bread and pita with spreads like cheese, honey, different types of jams, fresh over easy eggs and some herbs and veggies

Exactly It typically includes items, like Jam, butter, milk, tea, fresh bread (called Nan) and eggs in the form of Omelet or boiled Cheese is served with fresh vegetables like tomato, cucumber and also with walnut
