this is some nerd shit so not sure where to share

but we just shipped the first version of Farcaster based on the React Native new architecture!

new arch has been in the works for almost 7 years (!!) and as a React Native dev this is hugely exciting for me

congrats! which library caused the most issues when you tried to migrate?

React Native Developer. Experimenting with consumer apps.

we had to bump BottomSheet to 5.x which caused a lot of breaking changes, not strictly new arch specific but that took the most time

in terms of new arch issues, @mattermost/paste-input required a lot of patching on iOS and still doesn’t work on Android :(

I remember considering gorhom's bottom sheet for super but decided against it because of an open issue about laggy animations on the new arch

I didn't know the paste-input library, I'd probably try to build my own if I needed something like that lol
