In certain species of deep sea anglerfish where finding a mate is difficult, the tiny males find the huge females through the sense of smell and latches onto the females body to eventually fuse itself completely. Within this process the male loses all its body parts except for the reproductive organs and releases sperm when the female is ready to spawn, this sexual parasitism is believed to be evolved to overcome the difficulty of finding a mate in the dark ocean depths. Also, a female is known to carry many males at the same time. Nature truly is amazing!
