I can't speak for all of them, but I've used Trello (not scalable) and GitHub Projects is too distracting because I have all my notifications and issues and prd and some of the other products that are too ugly for me.

Linear is also very much focusing on issue tracking for developers, whereas Monday and ClickUp and Asana are more general purpose.

In marketing land we call this positioning. It's not just enough to build a tool; you have to actively know who its for and how it helps them.

People think Railway is a deployment tool like Heroku, but actually it obviates the need for me to ever hire a platform engineer. I'm technical enough I know what vertically and horizontally scaling architecture means, but I am just not savvy enough, and def don't care to spend any time to use any of the low-level AWS type of tools.
