I didn't set out to build an AI company.
My background was engineering, safety, audits and regulated environments, where one question comes up constantly:
“Can you prove what actually happened?”
Then AI went from generating answers to taking actions.
And I realised we were building permissions, guardrails and monitoring much faster than we were building a way to independently prove what those systems actually did.
That question sent me down a rabbit hole of cryptography, signatures, timestamps, provenance and verification, eventually becoming NexArt and later AIEF.
The biggest lesson so far: proving a record wasn't changed is not the same as proving everything was captured.
I didn't start with a startup idea.
I started with a question I couldn't get rid of.
