n0Ob question β my first disk break bike... looking for how to make removing the front wheel easier when throwing the bike inside the van without messing up the front breaks. Local bike shop said "don't lose the little insert" that came with the bike to pop back in every time but that seems like something I will certainly fail at.

Hey what bike is it? To your question, if the bike has thru axles, which I assume since it's a modern bike, all you'll need to mount and dismount it is a 6mm hex key. The "little insert" you mention is nothing more than a 6mm hex key, so if you lose it it's no big deal.

Was the front break calipers I was trying to ask about! Also front axle has the usual foldover doohickey (no idea what they are called), no hex needed, not sure what other kind of front axle attachments are out there these days ofc
