one thing i learnt for seo is having backlinks

and a good way to get them is through listing your project on defillama and various dapp stores like dappradar, thedapplist, etc. 

it actually works even with new website domains too since google picks it up.

but does SEO drive significant traffic? we never got to do this as it was <1 % for us at times..

I feel the user segment which we have in crypto are generally active on Twitter. 

If not, it has a high chance that they Google like swap a to b or lending and borrowing on XYZ chain. 

because of that, people get to know about projects. 

but again, all depends on your project.

If it's a consumer app, like focustree app, then you need presence outside of twitter

Interesting question! I feel like SEO in Web3 is undervalued but it’s also true that the user journey is different, often starting on other channels rather than through search.

That said, I often come across websites that are almost invisible to search engines due to how they’re built or how their content is structured. It feels like a missed opportunity.

It’ll be interesting to see how (and if) the funnel will change with more natural language on LLMs.
