Polygon’s Gigagas Roadmap to 100,000 TPS!

Polygon is on a mission to make onchain transactions faster, cheaper, and easier for everyone.

This happens in stages through the Gigagas Roadmap.

Here’s what’s coming

By July 2025:
→ Boost to 1,000 TPS
→ Finality in around 5 seconds
→ Stable and predictable gas fees

Already live on testnet. Polygon becomes one of the fastest blockchains in the world.

By the end of 2025:
→ Scale to over 5,000 TPS
→ Block times cut to 1 second
→ Instant finality by removing chain reorganizations
→ Seamless cross-chain transfers through Agglayer

Polygon has already reached 5,000 TPS in a devnet setup. These upgrades will improve user experience and handle much larger volumes.

In 2026 and beyond:
→ Full Gigagas upgrade rolls out to hit 100,000 TPS
→ Expanded support for institutions
→ Polygon aims to lead in payments and tokenized real-world assets (RWAs)

Polygon is already trusted by major players like Stripe, BlackRock, Apollo, and Reliance Jio.
