Tens or hundreds chips per bot? I can see Amiga-like architectures with a handful easily, but why hundreds? Because they include each sensor package as 1 chip?

I don’t know the reason for architecture choice but modern cars have hundreds of microcontrollers already

My car was 17 years old, and had to say goodbye last month. Perhaps that’s why I’m completely oblivious to that trend :) The new car does feel way more gadget aplenty. I wonder how much compute does a hand need.
