Sending the healing energy! Thanks for buying me Ask the Dust last summer. Such a thoughtful gift.

Rabbit hole confirmed. I pray their OpSec is as good as it was for the B2. Also on the other side of the tech curve, I was fascinated with the B-52 growing up.

That’s incredible and the only part that’s sad is I doubt they could do it again.

Sorry I missed you! Did this exact same thing with the same barista! He’s amazing and a total cinephile!

Always appreciative the philosophizing in public. Food for thought that nourishes the mind.

Same. I keep seeing people gushing on Letterboxd and I walking wondering if I were the one taking crazy pills.

Even if I hadn’t expected a lot, I would not been impressed.

Can’t tell the reason why. Maybe it’s my own expectations? I expected too much?

Spent most of my life as a broke NYU student memorizing the left copy. Happy to delete that memory in the name of better cartography for others.

It's for sure a grower :) I accidently stopped collecting physical copies after streaming took over, but every time I look at a Closet video I want to buy a DVD or two.

Also to answer your original question, yes! This was my very first Criterion DVD. I still have the old 2 disc edition back home.

Ah there’s no stampede per chance! There is a lot of Steve McQueen though. Bonus liberal arts major points: both films draw inspiration from the myth of Seven Against Thebes.

Started me on my Criterion journey. The Magnificent Seven (1960) by John Sturges is a like a samurai epic, except with guns, farms, and Yuyl Brynner.

Worked at GE for six years. Great to see the old Power business triumph. They’re great people. Congrats on the debut!
