Serengeti National Park, located in Tanzania, is undoubtedly the world’s most famous wildlife sanctuary, unmatched in both natural beauty and scientific significance. It stretches between the Ngorongoro Plateau and Lake Victoria, and to the north, it borders Kenya’s Maasai Mara Reserve, which is its natural continuation. As the oldest and largest national park in Tanzania, the Serengeti covers nearly 15,000 square kilometers. The name “Serengeti” comes from the Maasai language and means “endless plains.”
