Every time someone mints an AEYE or BasePaint (using ref link), a small amount of BBITS is burned. This reduces supply and pushes the token price up. Once the BBITS token price rises above the Based Bits NFT floor, someone buys a floor and redeems it for tokens at a profit. It's like clockwork.
