sasha v are excellent loudspeakers, second only to alexia v as the "can fit in a normal domestic space but still high-performance" category

They should be as big as the B&W 801 D4, and I think the tweeter's sound signature is more similar to Focal, many say it's bright and aggressive.

yes, very similar in dimensions and weight. Sasha V uses silk dome tweeters and overall are voiced very differently than B&W, though. both are punchy/dynamic but B&W is way brighter and lit up in the treble.

B&W 801 are my dream speakers, I hope to hear them someday. Now they are out of my budget πŸ˜† but maybe I could look the vintage model from the early '2000s, which are still in use in some studios like Stockfisch.

I really like the head and the separate tweeter above. I wonder how the flagship Focal model sounds, since the consumer hi-fi models use horn-loaded tweeters, which I fear might color the sound, whereas the studio models do not. I guess the horn-loaded design is meant to provide wider treble dispersion in the room, so you don’t have to sit exactly in the sweet spot, at expenses of less accuracy.

I've heard Sopra 2 and 3, a couple Utopia models as well. wouldn't describe them as coloured really. if anything they are just too bright i.e. not enough low-end to balance out the sparkly highs. B&W is better in this respect imo. even though Sopra and Utopia use beryllium tweeters, I personally much prefer Rockport's implementation which is darker and more natural to my ears.

Some people say the same about B&W. I think I must try or listen somewhere to decide if I like more B&W or Focal implementation. I would prefer something closer to the tonality of my current headphones. Focal say their headphones are similar in tonality to their speakers, so I should not be disappointed.
