A lot of talk about how China won't slow down in the event we start pacing AI development I don't perceive China's safety against AI to be that much further than ours and is more likely at parity. And if they continued to develop AI at a breakneck pace I imagine they would have their own Hugging Face incident or worse. In fact maybe it has already happened but we just didn't hear about it. Pretty sure there was a similar incident with Kimi this summer.
