another year trying to celebrate my birthday, only to realize it's too soon and i don't have the energy to make things happen now.

also — is it just me, or does planning your own birthday feel like the most narcissistic thing ever?
not sure i'll ever manage to pull off something for any of mine, lol.

I chose to rent out a wine shop for my 40th at the end of July 

I usually just do dinner, but I’ve built a really core group of friends in my community these past two years and bringing people together for a few hours with pizza and champagne sounded perfect 

Maybe I’m narcissistic but I’m very much looking forward to it this year
