What does it take to create a "sticky" product?
Products that people get hooked on always revolve around results—but in completely different ways 😉 They either:
1. Deliver actual results. Note: we aren't talking about the product's own output, but the results gained by the people using it! Obvious examples include new clients, revenue, or cost savings.
2. Provide the illusion of results. In other words, they offer "toy" results rather than real ones. The key here is that "toy" results are much easier to achieve than real ones—so people easily fall for them. Examples: likes, followers, or game points.
3. Offer a way to forget about the lack of results. Examples: booze, TV series, TikTok.
You can't get hooked on anything else—you can only force yourself to do it. And no one can keep that up for long 🤣
So, which type should your product fall into? And what is it missing to fully fit that category?
