Tether has teamed up with the TON Foundation to introduce XAUt0, an omnichain variant of its gold-backed stablecoin, on the TON blockchain. Developed using LayerZero's OFT (Omnichain Fungible Token) standard, XAUt0 allows for cross-chain transfers. While the original XAUt—currently limited to Ethereum—has more than $832 million in circulation, additional blockchains that will support XAUt0 have yet to be disclosed.
