Taking on established Web2 giants is a monumental task. These companies have vast resources, established user bases, and highly optimized products. A Web3 project aiming to "do X, but decentralized" needs to offer a 10x improvement in some critical area—be it privacy, ownership, or censorship resistance—to entice users away from the convenience they're accustomed to. Simply being "on the blockchain" isn't enough of a value proposition for the average person.
