i think that the gambler and the speculator are often conflated into one persona and this is problematic cause they're entirely different a speculator bases their investments on data and rational decision making, following a set of portfolio rules and guidelines. this is a job a gambler feels an emotional high, invests and hopes for the best, without any guardrails. this is a hobby and potentially an addiction
