does speed reading *actually* work?

I’ve tried it in earnest a handful of times and either my cpu isn’t powerful enough or I’m doing it wrong.

seems ripe for psyop with its claim to superhuman benefit and ability to always say “you just need to practice more” etc.

but, is it real?

honestly imo the whole point of reading a book is how deep you go by reading it over a long period of time, thinking about it, letting it infiltrate your daily life

currently having the time of my life reading Henri Laborit and seeing what I read in everything i experience
