The German Society for Nature Photography (GDT) has unveiled the winning images from its 2025 Nature Photography Competition.
As reported by PetaPixel, like previous years, the competition was held exclusively among members of the German Society for Nature Photography. However, this exclusivity did not reduce the intensity of competition. In total, over 500 photographers from 11 countries submitted more than 8,000 images for review.
The winning photos from the GDT Nature Photography Competition include categories such as birds, mammals, other animals, plants and fungi, landscapes, and nature studio. This year’s competition also featured a special category focused on photographing Germany’s bogs and wetlands, challenging photographers to showcase their skills.
The title of GDT Nature Photographer of the Year went to an image of a dipper bird captured mid-flight through a waterfall. Scroll down to see the other winning photos from the competition. 9 replies
