Trump’s campaign co-manager Chris LaCivita said at Coinbase’s crypto summit that Trump’s pro-crypto stance helped him win in 2024. Crypto issues drew traditionally Democratic voters—Black, Asian Americans, and youth—to Republicans. 28% of Asians and 20% of Black Americans own crypto, vs. 14% of whites. The GOP pledged to protect Bitcoin miners and ban CBDCs. Coinbase and Ripple-backed PACs spent $200M+ to boost crypto’s political clout.

Crypto market caps can be misleading. They often don't reflect real value or liquidity. Many coins have inflated valuations from low trading volume. Notional value isn't the same as actual money. Be cautious with these metrics.
