Memecoins on Base are a double-edged sword. On one hand, they’re clearly driving user engagement and bringing fresh attention to the ecosystem, especially from younger, internet-native communities. On the other hand, many of these coins lack real utility and are purely driven by hype.

They can be powerful onboarding tools, but the ecosystem needs to be careful not to become just a playground for speculation. I haven’t invested in any yet, but I’m keeping an eye on projects that show strong community support and long-term potential.
