🐢 Update: I have decided to turn off notifying the artist's followers when new songs are released to save Neynar compute. I plan on upgrading my Neynar plan and bringing these notifs back soon, but I need to make sure I can afford it long term first. I don't want to ship a bunch of awesome stuff and then have to roll it back in a few months because I can't afford the subscription. You will still get notifications when your songs are collected. my products are used by 100,000,000+ people daily, and I pay like $50/month for everything

first, i never use ssr (blog.borodutch.com/i-never-use-ssr-and-you-shouldnt-either)

second, whenever i can, i self host (e.g. my public snapchain node hub.merv.fun feel free to use it)

third, i never lock into complicated cloud provided infra, it's always simple vps down to the metal and easypanel

here's how you can stop worrying about compute units:
1. host a vps
2. install easypanel
3. vibecode a notif server (or use the code from open source /merv)
4. enjoy no surprise costs when your product blows up
