Don’t want to get too political I’ll just say our culture keeps decaying. As a native Greek the experience is not positive to say the least. I’m glad that out cuisine is keeping it alive tho! Hope it was a good meal

>I’ll just say our culture keeps decaying actually been thinking about culture a lot while walking around here, wondering what is native, what is for show, what is the capacity for progress with so much deep history, etc. fwiw, a few of the taxi drivers have made similar comments to me while chatting!

thanks for sharing, that is actually quite refreshing considering most people who visit other countries just automatically assume what they see & experience is the reality of the whole country the factors as to why the decay is happening are multiple and some go way back and some are more recent a simplification to the whole situation just for the sake of making a point is our government is and has been shit af for many years. and its not just that that, but they also try and promote the opposite of the actual reality. they love to promote the "touristy" perspective to hide behind it & to keep milking money-which a very small percent goes back to the important things. they are frauds big time we have been in debt since 2008 and its only getting worse, we are a third world country at this point im sure similar things are happening to other countries, just sharing just a tiny bit of my experience and knowledge as a native appreciate the curiosity, thanks for taking the time to read!
