Yeah, the hexagon, right ? Nice pointing that out. That was cool. Almost felt like you needed a socalled ‘blue chip’ to wanna use it but still cool. Instagram also had a digital collectibles feature that seemed like a really-really good way to get normies ‘comfortable with NFTs and crypto.

i actually liked it a lot and was sad when even farcaster got rid of it! i didn't actually see the ig nft implementation, just recall they had a notification mentioning it. what could you actually do? make NFTs out of your posts?

Oh… that’s right. If Im not mistaken, your @farcaster pfp had to be an NFT at first. I vaguely remember minting my logo for that reason. https://opensea.io/0xdc3529ae55d013ecb89d1a17b03a0949348ffbce?searchQuery=Logo The ig ‘digital collectibles’ allowed posting via connected (eth) wallet and the image had a cool 3D trading card / lighting effect. I thought it was cool. My entire meta account was wiped cause I never kyc’d. Whatevz.

Yeah, they also had Spark AR which was really-really cool. It was the most normie friendly and overall accesible AR situation because they were simply camera filters (tik tok and snap actually better though). I was able to coordinate an AR event with the City of Kagoshima strictly based around that feature on ig and content on Adobe Aero (not normie friendly, difficult for most). When my account was wiped I didn't really care because it was just before they rugged Spark AR. 🤷‍♂️ https://www.kcic.jp/contribute_event/72467
