I’m nervous. In 2 days, I’m flying to Canada to attend Consensus Toronto, followed by another event in New York, where I’ll be staying for a week. A lot of people talk about events like they’re no big deal. But for our small agency, it’s a major investment. It’s the first time I’m going this far, in person, to find clients. Do you have any tips on how I can make the most of this opportunity?

I read somewhere that one good strategy is to go to each event/side-event and introduce yourself to people, take their contact and follow up on them after the event try to book 1/1 meetings in advance with people u find interesting for growing ur business take videos and pics to create content - and tag the people, it’s a good way to get noticed

Thanks for the advice. I think I’m really late when it comes to side events … I haven’t even applied yet. For 1:1 meetings, I’m actually thinking of offering mini interviews. That way, I kill two birds with one stone. But what bothers me is that I’ve noticed people then assume my services are “cheap.” I feel like it devalues the perception of my work a bit. I’m wondering if I should let my team handle that instead, And I should come up with a different approach. But I’m not sure what that would be. I will definitely create some content. Actually, I think you’ll be able to follow the journey here, with short videos!
