i was listening to the amy poehler x billie eilish pod and finneas (billies brother) spoke about learning to enjoy the process of creating a song he said it doesnt matter if the song isn’t a huge success because at least he got to hang out with his sister 3 times a week all summer which is super fun i had heard the phrase enjoy the process alot in sport and i thought i was doing that but in reality alot of my happiness has been tied to my results when i competed badly a few weeks ago i thought omg have i wasted the past few months my version of it was “ enjoy the process but only if you win or else its a massive waste of time effort and money” however now i am choosing to ACTUALLY enjoy the process no matter what happens at my comp next weekend i got to spend the month travelling the US with my family, training with an awesome group and competing in pro meets again!!!
