The tie adds that level of professionalism that can seem like a brick wall or too stuffy, depending on the occasion.

yea i had to wear a tie for school and really wasnt comfy!!!

It’s significantly more comfortable and in most cases ties are not needed, although I had to borrow one a few weeks ago at a fancy restaurant because I didn’t wear one.

Can absolutely be done but requires different materials

is perceived as more sporty so fits the occasion ;)
