Not everything should be a market. You don’t have to bet money on every belief you have.

There was a good section about this in Mark Carney’s book Value(s). He argued that moving more toward a market society from a market economy will result in price being the only thing people care about, and therefore everything will end up having much less value as a result. Was a good read.

Completely in agreement and largely why I’ve become disillusioned about the majority of anything being built here

already seeing this in this space. "price action is the only thing that matters" is a cancer to anyone building something for the long term. short term speculation has riddled our brains to expect 1000x's over night and if it doesn't happen just dump it and move on because clearly the project is never going anywhere.
