i have been re-watching early 87-ish startrek.

i feel this is deeply uncool. (my person thinks so, too). and parts of episodes are downright uncomfortable.

but i have found it to be a bit of a tonic for finding a time when time was optimistic for the future? 

when we thought more about what can or should be. idk. its not linear. it helps rn. thoughts?

i'm not really into star trek but i know the broad strokes of it. that kind of optimism is definitely lacking rn. it's interesting bc as our real world technology is closer to sci fi tech than it's ever been but rather than get us to a utopian future, it's bringing us to a darker one that makes the hopefulness of things like star trek feel uncool and corny (╥_╥)
