I didn’t know whether to correct her or just pray silently in tongues. 😩 Grammar is not wicked, but many of us are dragging it by the hem of its garment without proper understanding. Today, I come as your grammar police!🔥 So, let's fix some common grammar errors that might be embarrassing in public and you might not even take note of. Don't worry, I brought receipts and examples. Let’s go! 1. Maggie ✖️ Seasoning cube or Bouillon cube ✔️ Wrong: Please buy Maggi for the soup. Correct: Please buy a seasoning cube for the soup. Maggi is a brand name, just like Knorr or Royco. As you don't call every toothpaste "Close-Up," you shouldn't call every cube “Maggi." The English is tired. 😩
