Half a day into the not following anyone and observing something: The feed is really good. I’m seeing diverse and interesting content. But it doesn’t “feel” as good and that’s because I’m not seeing content from people I know intimately. It doesn’t have the group chat feels. something something it’s not about the content, but the relationships we make?

Text content generates so much meaning from the speaker. e.g. if Paul Graham tweets something people will take it much more seriously than some random kid. If a friend tweets they're at a bagel store you're happy for them, if a random person is, you don't care.

Out of curiosity, why did you unfollow everyone? (I've also done it and am up to following about 30 now since I broke the seal)

at least a third of platform value is often derived from direct connections (at least for instagram, Facebook, twitter and LinkedIn) https://farcaster.xyz/ted/0xc5921b2f
