“Your personality is where your premium is.”
For years I used to check my personality at the door and show up to work with a serious face and analytical mind, ready to conquer tasks and GSD.
As I got into leadership I slowly learned to unlearn these behaviors and leaned into soft skills, using psychology to understand how to motivate people and organize different groups of people to work together towards the same goals.
As AI takes over all the task oriented work, we can all lean into the soft skills of being human.
It’s just going to be harder than we think bc we’ve been conditioned to repress our true selves. I’m not surprised to be seeing a lot of people declare some variation of “find myself” as their resolution.
