"Give it the goal, not the steps" Just like how I wrote yesterday about how I use the same mental model for shipping software as a solo dev with AI as when I was managing a team of engineers, this advice more or less sums up my mental model for leadership. A lot of organizational disfunction can be diagnosed by asking "is the goal present?" and realizing that people and teams are not working towards the same goal.
