There are thousands of daily word apps and social media accounts out there But I haven’t seen any others that make learning the word playful and interactive through social media I built @word-a-day to live at the intersection of learning and social media. You don’t just passively learn a new word each day, you have to use it on social media to reinforce your learning. The original inspiration was helping my daughter study for the SATs. We were road tripping in Canada with a big box of index cards with vocabulary words on them. I noticed that as she learned new words, we would all naturally try to weave them into conversation throughout the day, which made the learning feel fun and stickier.
