I am working on publishing a children's book. I wrote the story and my sister is illustrating it. She's doing it all by hand, using a mix of watercolor and acrylic. Here's a picture of how the illustrations start off. A loose pencil sketch and a light wash of watercolor. Acrylic paints get layer on to define shape, create detail and cover up mistakes.
