Tax returns for S corps and partnerships are due tomorrow. My accountant for my consulting company proactively files extensions for all her corporate clients, and she shared this fun fact: Fun fact: the IRS systems and staffing are based on the assumption that at least 75% of business tax returns will file an extension (last year it was 81% of all business tax returns). The IRS would literally break if all businesses filed their returns by the original deadline.
