If the token is not launched via their launcher, you can cancel anytime and get your eth back. So it's not locked or smth. I participated to $TIPN one it was really good.

Farstore is not like that @kompreni can create those as a let's say funding and if creator decides to launch with their own launcher that funding goes to sale and you'll get those tokens when the contract is deployed.
