"Public blockchains harken back to these early days of the internet, most fundamentally in that they share this open, permissionless architecture." Well considered article by the CEO of the Algorand Foundation, Staci Warden, in the Milken Review economic journal. https://www.milkenreview.org/articles/crypto-state-of-the-union

Wondering if the episode this week will go into detail on the Circle S1. I know I would appreciate some discussion on it.

Nice to see a decentralized protocol using decentralized infrastructure like Farcaster instead of just posting updates on the centralized X. Keep it up.

Decentralized protocols for social like Farcaster and Bluesky are the future. It's said that X and it's centralized approach has more conversation about blockchain tech. Let's change that.

I'm enjoying my Bluesky feed more. It feels more intellectual.

Based on the Proton roadmap, it feels like it will be a long time before Standard Notes is integrated on the Proton platform. You can purchase Proton subscriptions with BTC, but I know that's not the same as using XMR.

Windows 11 makes this pretty easy too. 1. Launch Powershell from the Microsoft command line (run as Administrator) 2. In powershell 'wsl --install' 3. Then in the Windows Store install a distribution such as Kali Linux

It's rare to find people that truly care, but when you meet them you know it.

Crypto conversations should be better and more informed on Farcaster than X.

Just re-read your "What Will Happen In 2023" - You were spot on with AI and Web3 (Onchain) being joined at the hip. Looking forward to your post tomorrow.

One of the largest power producers in the country talking about bitcoin. As a native of Tennessee, I love seeing this. With TVA having nuclear and hydro production across several states it makes way more sense for bitcoin infrastructure to built out in in the Tennessee Valley than in Texas. Just so happens that the Department of Energy has a massive research facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. TVA + DOE should be doing bitcoin research. https://x.com/TVAnews/status/1816935329011482642

I'm sharing bits of information and photos of building a new house in a small Florida downtown. This house is special to me as my wife, a licensed architect, has designed it. This will be our first home ever living within the city limits. We both grew up in rural unincorporated areas.

Making progress. This week we got the foundation block walls, those walls were filled with cement and the fill dirt has been added. Next week, concrete slabs.

I'm using Helium Mobile on a 2nd phone (Sony Xperia). I feel like the network speed is a bit slower than my main phone which is also on T-Mobile (Pixel 8). For me the Helium Mobile support has been good. My Helium phone doesn't have an e-sim and they were very helpful in getting a physical sim shipped to me.

This was a great episode. I can still remember the first time I typed Mosaic into the command line of a Sun workstation at the U. of Tennessee CS lab in the fall of 1994. Was a game changer moment.
