Teachers here got a big raise a few years ago which is a good news, but before they are doing it for the love of teaching since they are earning just to survive.

where at? man most teachers don’t even get raises to keep up with inflation so technically we teach for less every year

I'm from the Philippines, Public school Teachers got 100% increase from the last administration. But not much effect now due to inflation.

My school here in the US has been hiring Filipino teachers and giving them visas etc 

The stories some of them tell me is insane about their class sizes etc

Wow that's nice, and a good opportunity for them. 

That's true, during my Public school days the average student per class is closed to 50 in our school. The number of sections will be closed to 20 per grade. That's why we have morning and afternoon schedules just to make sure they can accommodate all students.
