Top of mind: Blade Runner & Blade Runner 2049

Fury Road didn’t flop per say. It still made its money back, but Furiosa did flop hard (a film I also really enjoyed and felt was done dirty at the box office)

I read somewhere that Fury Road was considered a flop by some, with an estimated net loss of $40 million mostly due to high marketing costs and a financial dispute between George Miller and Warner Bros. But that could be misinformation.

I actually liked Furiosa, but I’d say the fx, music, and cinematography in Fury Road were stronger overall. Furiosa just didn’t have as many moments that hit as hard for me.

As for the Blade Runner films both are incomprehensible cinematic masterpieces. The box office really didn’t do justice to Denis Villeneuve, and I totally agree with you there.
