Video isn't my favorite thing and I'll never make videos myself, but the push for video on the purple app makes sense for the sake of user growth. 

But I do hope we'll always have plenty of cozy corners for the word nerds who'd rather have a feed full of long-form text than video.

I understand the concern with video not being everyone’s preferred medium. However, I personally think not much will change in the long term since Farcaster will always be primarily seen as a text first social network. It’s the sticky aspect this place was built around, and that wont change just because a new feature is being prioritized.

Hope you're right about that. I'm not as confident about it as you seem to be, but maybe I've just read too many doomer articles on "the decline of reading" and such.

In any event, I'll definitely do what I can to help keep Farcaster text-first.
