coming into the web3 space my good fren, Kuro , would always describe L2s as highways built to reduce the traffic congestion in the main roads, L1s. now we have Caldera’s Metalayer which you can describe as the missing link g. you know how L2s help scale Ethereum and other L1s by offloading transactions, right? cool. but imagine if spinning up these L2 highways was as easy as launching a WordPress website with all tools ready making it fast, flexible, and made-to-measure. that’s what Caldera’s Metalayer is about. instead of every dev team becoming an infrastructure company overnight, Caldera handles the hard parts: deploying custom rollups (Optimism, Arbitrum, ZK, you name it), prebuilt infra like block explorers and oracles, automated updates, sequencers, and more.

but here’s where the Metalayer really hits: it abstracts away the complexity of the rollup stack itself, think of it like a control tower managing hundreds of custom L2s under one intuitive interface. from devs to enterprise teams, anyone can plug in and launch. so while traditional L2s helped scale the chain, Caldera’s Metalayer helps scale L2s themselves. rollups-as-a-service, but make it modular, composable, and scalable as hell.
