In 2019, before Beeple broke Christie’s and long before MetaMask became mainstream, a small mobile app called Editional let anyone mint and collect NFTs for free — from their iPhone - No gas fees, no crypto needed - Just tap and mint - Limited editions, 2–99 - Creator drops - notis ( on your phone! ) - follows ( like on Instagram dude ) The cultural relevancy of editionalapp lies not in its market success, but in its vision of what NFTs could be - social objects - something collect to express taste, creativity, or connection - lowered the barrier to entry in ways unseen until today - proto-creator economy
