literally the opposite. they humanized a space that up until that point was like mars - oxygenless, cold, brutally technical - such that artists and non-technical folks could make use of the new tools crypto made possible and experiment/learn together

that created a solid core of folks aligned around a belief in something bigger and better

if not but for those projects and the people that populated them, I don't think you get anywhere close to what happened later on (for better or worse)

the cent + editional combo added oxygen to the space in a way that made it inhabitable for everyone that came in after imo

that year i was 6 months into permanent housing and funded the metamask i generated in 2017. but i was gifted some free nfts in 2020 that got me going this way.
