This is the king of fruits and upon checking I’ve not had it for nearly 1 year, 9 months. This is the D24 variant, not the musang king. Stall didn’t have it. But I don’t write this to praise the fruit. It’s great. You either like it or you don’t. We were sold this by a 16 year old girl, who works with her mom, the fruit seller. It’s her day off school. She’s mixed, as you’d find quite commonly in Malaysia - dad is Malaysian of Chinese descent, and mom is Indonesian, and a devout Christian who goes to church every Sunday! We conversed mostly in Bahasa Malaysia and a bit of English. But the 16 year old is the Durian Queen. She knows how to pick fruits. She’s ever willing to replace seeds that seem subpar. She wants you to go with a good experience. She’s a conversationalist. The ultimate sales girl. I can see her being extremely successful post school, and I hope she chooses to go big. She has dreams - she said if she had a durian farm, she’d not be selling fruit with her parents (her dad was away at the coconut farm today) - she’d be enjoying herself in Genting everyday. This is where there are casinos and theme parks. Hope to check in on her in future to ensure her big dreams are met. After all, she knows how to pick the king of fruits real well.

the neurodivergent truth is that durian smells and tastes like rotten flesh, probably human
