🎯 Indeed. We need more public conversation about just how deep this particular "creator economy" rabbit hole goes if we ever expect to make real progress. "Why Artists Can't Get Paid" (the most recent article by @tombeck.eth) is the most impressive survey of the true depth of the problem that I've seen so far.

Yes. So refreshing to read such a well-written piece by someone who *gets* it. Wish every dev working on building something for "creators" would read and ponder it. I've read it several times also, and will be citing it in my own work later on. Looking forward to your thoughts! I'd love to discuss Tom's essay in the /gift-economics channel, so feel free to cast there if you're so inclined. Part of our mission for that channel is to host deep-dive discussions on the structural factors involved in the problem space.
