A while back now, but honestly had a superb time at the Cosmos Institute weekend. What stood out most was the seriousness of intent behind the whole thing — not just abstract discussion, but a real attempt to bridge philosophy and implementation. The focus on human flourishing, reason, decentralization, and autonomy doesn’t stay at the level of slogans; it comes through in the kinds of questions people are encouraged to ask and the kind of builders the community seems to attract. There’s something rare about a space that treats philosophical clarity and technical execution as mutually reinforcing rather than separate worlds. Cosmos seems to take that seriously — the idea that if AI systems are going to shape human life, then the values underneath them shouldn’t be accidental or implicit, but explicitly examined and translated into design. Grateful to have spent time in that mix of thinkers and builders working on what “human-centered” might actually mean in practice in the age of AI.

Throwback — had an incredible time at this one. The d/acc residency at EdgeCity with the InfiniteZero Network, courtesy of Protocol Labs, where we received our very first developer grant

I’ve been using Navita’s Organic Cacao Powder (no affiliation)🍫 because it’s third-party tested for heavy metals and impurities, and it’s affordable. While I can’t get batch-by-batch readings, they do publish an average, which I appreciate. 🌱 I feel great with cacao and prefer the powder over dark chocolate. Studies, like one from Tulane, show risks of lead and cadmium in chocolates, even organic ones. 🍫⚠️ Metals can seep from soil or during drying near roadsides. Anyone know smaller-scale cacao farmers with fewer impurities? 🌿

If you're not sure where to start with supplements, here’s the basics:
✅ Multivitamin
✅ Vitamin D3
✅ Magnesium (glycinate for relaxation, citrate for gut)
 ✅ Omegas (EHA/DHA mix of omega 3 & 6)
✅ Probiotics (or organic kimchi/sauerkraut in glass containers) It’s been a solid foundation for me!

💊 Not all supplements are made equal! Some don’t test for heavy metals, purity, or quality—studies have found high rates of inaccurate or misbranded labels: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9366544/. 🔬 I trust brands like Pure Encapsulations and Metagenics (no affiliations), but there are other affordable options that test and share results or use third-party testing. ✅

NAC (N-Acetylcysteine) helps detox by replenishing glutathione, clearing toxins like heavy metals. Many of us are exposed to pollutants from traffic, factories, and more. While industrial processes have been key for progress, they can stress our cells. As we work towards cleaner air and practices, detox is crucial. A study on lead exposure showed NAC reduced blood lead levels and oxidative stress: https://www.nmi.health/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/NMJ_NAC_A-Review-of-Clinical-Use-and-Efficacy.pdf
