anyone ever used Neon ?

considering switching from supabase for my next stuff

yeah it's fine i depend on it a lot but the second a project takes off i need to switch it to something with a flat rate cost cause i'm scared of pay per compute for outside of tier limit and etc, also some people have complained about availability but i haven't had issues myself

the cost per compute was why i wanted to switch, supabase doesnt really scale

normal month (haven't launched anything new on neon at all in july) and sometimes it's bursty bc i'll launch a mini app and it'll go semi-viral or an old one will remerge as meta etc so this is a baseline

seems like neon can burst more if you have a trafic spike, like it can scale x4 - while supabase is a dedicated machine so it will die
do you use your full 300 compute hours w/ the $20 plan ?

oh i would say neon also does not scale lol unless you have something you can cache well, granted i'm on the $20/mo plan and my scaling issues could be solved by going up to the $70/mo plan but you know that's a slippery slope
