One great thing about Claude Code is that I can wake up, choose something small, like a bug fix that doesn’t require supervision, queue it up and then get my kids ready for camp while it goes to work. Then I can do it again before I hope in the car to take them.

I wonder if this is a dad thing. This ~exact pattern is one of my favorite things about this brave new world

Yea I think this specific example is. Probably more generally its great when you have other non-work tasks and some anxiety about not working. But back to specifity, AI is becoming a great way to be a more present parent.

I do the same thing. Fire off a prompt, get the kids ready for bed. Fire off another while I clean up, do chores. It’s really let me get back into doing open source stuff and side projects whereas before I wouldn’t have had the time/energy once the kids finally went down.
